Know Your Tea

WHITE TEA
undergoes the least processing, no oxidation and hence the most delicate of all teas. They are hand processed using the youngest shoots of the tea plant. Characteristically, white tea tastes subtle with natural sweetness and delicate aroma.
Low caffeine (10-30% of coffee).

GREEN TEA
is slightly oxidized and then the process is stopped at high temperature. Due to minimum oxidation, when brewed, green tea retains its natural leafy color. Its flavor is subtle with wide range of undertones (from citrusy, smoky to deep accents).
Less caffeine (10-30% of coffee).

OOLONG TEA
is more oxidized and made from more mature leaves. Therefore its flavor is not as delicate as white/green tea but not as robust as black. It is usually very fragrant and aromatic and can be steeped for many times, resulting in different taste each time.
More (20-40% of coffee).

BLACK TEA
is the most well known variety in the West. It is fully oxidized, resulting in black and dark brown leaves. Its flavor is usually robust and strong.
Most Caffeine (50-65% of coffee).
